Everyone Is Wondering About The Status Of This ‘Black Panther’ Character After The ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Trailer

Remember when half of Wakanda (and the world) disintegrated during the Thanos Snap in Avengers: Infinity War? Remember how upset people were at seeing our beloved T’Challa join the ranks of those dusted? Well, Marvel is making Black Panther fans worry all over again with the new trailer for Avengers: Endgame. It turns out they’re not done hurting members of the Wakandan royal family, and people are voicing their concerns.

In the trailer, Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) uses Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey, Jr.) technology to study pictures of several Avengers and Avengers-adjacent personnel. One of those pictures happens to be Shuri, T’Challa’s sister and Wakanda’s techie princess.

Fans have taken to Twitter to plead with (or yell at) Marvel regarding Shuri’s fate.

However, it should also be noted that in that same scene, Banner is also looking at a picture of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) aka Ant-Man. At the end of the trailer, Lang isn’t dead; in fact, he’s trying to get into the Avengers’ headquarters to help. So perhaps Shuri isn’t gone either; maybe she went into hiding. It makes sense since Shuri is now allied with M’Baku and the Jabari Tribe. Perhaps he took Shuri and her mother, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), to a safe place after the Snap. This theory makes even more sense when you read Bassett herself told ScreenRant that both Ramonda and Shuri survived.

We’ll understand everything once Avengers: Endgame comes to theaters April 26, 2019.
